Two Bodies Are Better Than One
Book 1
Coming March 1, 2026
When the body of a private investigator shows up on Lorraine Highsmith’s front lawn, a small midwestern town is turned upside down in search of the killer.
One of the first on the scene is recently promoted Detective Michaela Zenoni who is eager to solve the case and make a name for herself in her male-dominated police department. Lorraine, a local advice columnist and semi-recent resident of Sheboygan Bay is anxious to insert herself into the investigation—keen to get the inside scoop for the paper, but also determine if the corpse was the result of small-town foul play or a more insidious message from her past.
What her neighbors don’t know is that little ‘ol Lorraine has bodies of her own buried. Lorraine used to be connected to the Chicago Mob and even though she’s closed that chapter, once you’re connected—there’s really only one way out.
As the detective and meddling old lady embark on the hunt for the killer—and their motive—everyone in this tight knit community is suspect.
Will Zenoni be able to crack the case and get her first win? Will Lorraine be able to finally stop looking over her shoulder? Or will an unsuspecting player pull the wool over both of their eyes?
